Hello guys..!! I hope everyone is doing well.
Today we are back with another topic, which is "BACK 2 SCHOOL". Yes..!! You guessed it right, I'm going to talk about "Education". I can easily sense your feelings(which are mostly negative) on this topic.
And it is pretty much obvious that most of the students in our country have a bad feeling towards the education system and opportunities that are offered through it. is one of the main reasons why Millenials are attracted to study in foreign countries like the USA. And there's no second thought that America is providing very fine education,
And that's the reason, I want to talk about some lesser-known information which is that there are so many other countries (some of them are smaller countries) which are providing the best possible education and striving for the development of their young population.
For example...
1.Singapore: Singapore can be considered as the country with the best educational system in the Asian continent. Some international researches say that it is the best in the world. although there is no denial in the fact that the competition between students and the importance of exams is similar to India. They are achieving the outcomes without sabotaging the student's mentalities and their interests. when it comes to system kids start their schooling with primary school(class 1 to 6) after which they write PSLE (primary school leaving exam), based on the results of these exam students are offered to choose secondary schools. This means that they divide students based on their marks after 6th class only which has led to higher drop out rates and low scoring students getting bullied by top scorers. if you start thinking negatively about Singapore.....STOP IT....!!! This is when the Singaporean government has taken the initiative to change the system. From 2024 Singapore is planning to implement the changed system. In which the students are given three levels G1, G2, G3.Where students can choose different levels for different subjects according to their strengths. Here, G1 being the basic level and G3 being deeper. conclusively the best features of the Singaporean education system that we observed are:

Here, G1 being the basic level and G3 being deeper. conclusively the best features of the Singaporean education system that we observed are:
- Compulsory national service like the army, defense, police..etc for every male citizen after completion of 12th class(18yrs). They believe that this action enhances the discipline of the youth.
- Vocational training is equally appreciated as any other stream, which is very good for the Economically backward families.65% of the students after 12th class joins vocational training.
- The government is strongly accountable for its education system and very good at monitoring students. For instance, in 2017 students reported rising stress levels and psychological rigor. In response, the education authorities stopped listing top scores in exams.
- The national institute of education in Singapore is the institute that trains and qualifies every single teacher making sure that every single teacher is equally qualified and up to the mark.
2.Norway: Norwegian education system is considered one of the best in Europe. Its education system is divided into lower secondary school, upper secondary school (or) vocational training which is of 4yrs in which the only 2yrs is allotted for classroom teaching and 2yrs for complete industrial training. Primary education is very fun and relaxing with very few standardized tests and no grading.
Best features according to us:
Best features are :
No, no,no...I'm not going to answer that because you are all experienced enough to answer that by yourself.
I'm going to conclude by saying one thing, which is that we may not be able to bring the changes in our education system(as I'm completely aware that none of my readers are PM candidates for the next elections) but we can ease the pressure within us by realizing what education actually mean? and how some of the finest countries are educating their citizens. Don't hesitate to show this post to those toxic people who are being the reason for your stress, about your education( Trust me, it helps as I have already tried it๐).

Best features according to us:
- Sports are given equal importance as academics, Each and every student during their upper secondary schools organize sports seasons(according to their liking) all through the academic year just as they attend schools. This clearly shows the right balance between academics and sports.
- Schooling is completely free and is done in public schools, even universities do not charge tuition fees(not for some castes but for everyone).
- Their curriculum consists of subjects like music, food and health, arts and crafts, social care, agriculture, fishing, forestry, ethical education...etc which I feel "AWESOME" as an Indian student.
- Same as Singapore, vocational training is equally encouraged and respected as any other stream.
3.Denmark: Denmark's educational system is similar to the Norwegian educational system. Starting with lower secondary school, upper secondary school (or) vocational training, and then higher education which is optional according to the personal interests. Denmark has a very high literacy rate for both males and females which is 99%. The best features are:
- The main motto of Danish education is "Daycare to life long learning". This means that they provide equal studying facilities to adults as well. There are 2 types of adult learning available which are formal and non-formal. This helps adults in maintaining their learning attitude and reminds them that it is their job as well to learn something rather than passing advice on every issue.
- It is the constitutional right for every student that they can choose between school studies or home studies. This feature enables students to not miss schooling even in case of minor health issues.
- Same as in Norway schooling is free and no tuition fees are charged by universities.
- As usually vocational training is given equal importance and respect (Dignity of labor).
Best features are :
- Japanese students do not take exams until they reach the age of 10. It is believed that the first 3 years of schooling is not to test the memory of the kids but to teach them good manners and to develop their character. You know why..?? Because it becomes difficult as we grow.
- Most Japanese schools do not employ janitors or custodians. Students clean schools, classrooms, cafeterias, and even toilets all by themselves. It is a Japanese methodology of teaching kids to respect working with a team, for self, and for others.
- Lunch is subsidized by the government and is well taken care of by health professionals.
- Most of the time teachers and students sit and eat together, this helps in developing the understanding between teachers and students.
- More often than not, students do not have homework, even if they do it will be a work of 10mins maximum.
- Finland schools have the shortest working hours between 3 to 4 hrs including the lunch hour.
- Finns start school when seven years old.
- Only 9 yrs of schooling is compulsory.
- Private schools do not exist, PERIOD.
- More relaxed environment with several recess breaks.
- Only 2 classes per day.
- Absolutely no tuitions.
- There's no question about which school is the best because all of them are equal.
- A person has to have a master's degree to become a teacher in Finland, the selection of teachers is one of the most taken care programs in Finland. So that the problem of ineligible teachers is no more a problem.
- Even teachers have separate lounge rooms in schools to relax.
- No standardized tests, no lists of top-performing schools, and top-performing students.
- Every student gets psychological counseling.
- Career options are provided on basis of the students' interest because every profession is equally treated and there is no such thing called "Respectful job".
Even there are other countries like Israel, Germany... etc which provide leisure time of one year after secondary education, so that students think about their strengths and interests to choose their career paths.
